Senior Backend Engineer

Core Loop is looking for self motivated people to be part of a tight-knit, remote team looking to create the next generation of MMO games. Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced REST developer to help build an unannounced massively multiplayer cross-platform title. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

Implement backend services that integrate with the game client, analytics and other modules
Monitor the production health of our backend services

Requirements:

10+ years of previous experience as a backend engineer
Expert knowledge of NodeJS, Javascript, RESTful APIs, and Pub/Sub messaging
Experience with cloud services, such as AWS or Azure
Experience with containerization like Docker or Kubernetes
Strong understanding of Architecture, Design Patterns and Software Principles
Ability to work well as part of a collaborative development team
Good written and verbal communication in English for remote work
BS or equivalent coursework (AS, training, or work experience) in Computer Science or related field

Nice-to-haves:

Experience working in game development
Experience working on a live operated game
Experience with blockchain, dapps, smart contracts, web3
